The Phoenix

No doubt everyone who has suffered the devastation of cancer, feels the pain and heartache it causes. If you know this feeling, then you know that messages of hope, strength, and encouragement (no matter how small) are appreciated wherever they can be found.

The iconic image of the phoenix is known worldwide to be one such message. It is a reminder of our strength to rise and carry on.

There are variations to the story of the phoenix, but in all versions, the phoenix is set aflame, seemingly destroyed. Yet, from its ashes, it rises anew. It must first burn, in order to be reborn. In modern use, the phoenix symbolizes hope, resilience, and strength to overcome adversity. Rising up out of destruction, transformed, and stronger because of it.

We chose a spiral configuration of the phoenix to further represents growth; the journey of life. And the word "Rise" is always pointing in an upward direction. A continuous reminder to look upward.
